- Head, You have defined the "problem". What do we mean by "finish the job"? What IS the job? Are we helping Afghanistan weed out terrorists or are we nation building? If the first, then we need more Afghan commitment. If the second, we are in for a very long stay.

- Faith and religious practice should not be taught in public school. I think a section on religions has a place in the social studies cirriculum.

- Single payer is the only reliable way to go. Maybeblu, I have often wondered what people have thought would happen to the money they currently pay (or their employers pay) for health insurance. I'd gladly see it go to a universal system.
